Saving House Sparrows and Protecting The Nature

NEST – Protecting House Sparrows, Preserving Nature

NEST (Nature Environment Service Trust), founded in 2005 in Coimbatore, is dedicated to conserving the House Sparrow (Passer domesticus), whose population is declining due to human-induced pressures.

Research and Awareness for Sparrow Conservation

After years of detailed study with experts and ornithologists on the House Sparrow’s habits, habitats, and threats, NEST initiated a door-to-door awareness program, revealing a significant decline in their population across the state.

Our Mission:

Saving the House Sparrow

With the rapid decline of House Sparrows due to urbanization and habitat loss, NEST has taken significant steps to raise awareness and implement conservation strategies.

Our door-to-door campaigns educate residents on how they can help, including providing food and water to sparrows.
